We calculate the amount of enery a webpage takes to load, and then work out how much carbon that produces. Finally, we work out how much of that carbon could be reduced by optimising the web page properly.
The average website produces 50kg of carbon per 100,000 page views – that's the same as driving your car 220km!
We use a number of different data points, including X, Y, and X to calculate our scores. This is validated against a database provided by Acme inc.

The site's stated goal is to "inform and empower communities, businesses, households and government to adapt to climate change", providing a valuable resource at a time when it is most needed.
